RAMBAN, March 31: District Information Centre, Ramban organised a debate on “Green India Clean India” at Government High School Chanderkot. Headmaster of the host school Krishan Singh was the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest provided innovative information on the topic and encouraged the students to plant more and more trees in their surroundings to make the life free from devastating environmental pollution. He further expressed his wish to organise such events in future also.
Later, dignitaries also distributed prizes among the meritorious participants. First prize was presented to the Mehru Nisa followed by 2nd Prize which was given to Karnail Singh and 3rd Prize was claimed by Bipashi Sharma.
In the mean time a colourful cultural programme was also presented by the students and local artists which mesmerised the audience with Phari, Gojri and Dogri folk songs highly appreciated by the gathering.
