Jammu, Oct 19: An unclaimed purse, containing a cash of Rs 2920 along with ATM and Identity Card, was restored by Police to its owner, Naresh Dhemja who is an employee of OBC Bank.
The purse was found by Police patrolling party at Banganga.
Meanwhile , a woman identified as Akam Bibi wife of Mohd Irshat, resident of Rajouri, whose son was admitted in Ward No 11 in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu registered a complaint regarding theft of her purse containing 61 Riyal (Saudi Arab currency) some documents and a bank pass book in Ward No 11 of the hospital, with police post, GMCH Jammu.
He said soon after receiving complaint, Inspector Rajesh Kumar, Incharge of the police post along with some cops reached the spot and started interrogation of the patients and attendants in the Ward, and in the meanwhile a man identified as Kuldeep Raj, who found the purse in abandoned condition in a nook of the ward, handed over the same to police.
“After proper receipt, the purse was handed over to her owner”, the spokesman added.
