AWANTIPORA, May 02:
Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers near Galander crossing New Highway Pampore.
The two arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Muzamil Ahmad and Nisar Ahmad both residents of Machwa Chadoora and were arrested while they were travelling on scooty JK04E-9127 from Anathnag to Srinagar.01 kg of contraband substances suspected to be charas was recovered from their possession.
The motorcycle used for the commission of the offence has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 31/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
General Public of Awantpora, Tral , Pampore and Khrew are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in neighborhood area. Persons found indulging in drug peddlers will be dealt strictly under law.
