Two Cops including a police officer and four civilians including 2 women recieved minor injures when suspected militants lobbed a grenade on a joint deployment party of CRPF & Police at main Chowk Pakherpora in Budgam district this afternoon.
In the attack an ASI Ghulam Rasool @ Dilawar, CRPF constable Santosh Kumar and four Civilians received minor injuries.
The injured Civilian have been identified as Shafeeq Ahmad Najar (40) s/o Gh Ahmad Najar, Irfan Ahmad Wani (37) Adopted son of Mohammed Yousf Wani both residents of Pakerpora, Sara Begum (55) w/o Gh Mohammad Magray r/o Khaigam and Gulshana (45) w/o Mohammed Yousf r/o Mohanpora. All the injured persons were evacuated to nearby Hospital for treatment.
Reports said that all the injured civilian were waiting for Ration at a Ration Ghat located at Main Chowk Pakherpora.
Meanwhile, soon after the blast security forces launched searches to nab the attackers.
