SRINAGAR, MAY 21: The state cabinet, which met today, with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Chair, scrapped the new job policy. Under the recruitment policy of 2011, the appointees for Class-IV and non-gazetted posts are, during the first five years of appointment, given a meager amount as stipend instead of regular salary. The policy had triggered massive resentment among the state’s educated youth. The cabinet also approved to make the employees of SKICCs job pensionable.
